WHO ARE WE?
Jiali Wang (She/They) Anti-Asian Racism | Anti-Aging
Founder & Artistic Director 
Producer & Choreographer

Jiali Wang earned her BFA at Beijing Dance Academy and graduated from SUNY The College at Brockport with her master degree in dance. Since 2014, Wang has performed and presented works at diverse dance festivals and events: ACDA Conference, American Dance Festival, CBG Dance Fall Festival, Sans Limites Movement Festival, Translate-Voices of Dance, Booking Dance Festival at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Wang starts her original dance project, 7Midnights Physical Research, with two creative branch programs, 7MPR Themed Dance Theater-Midnight Performance Series and 7MPR Themed Cultural Dance Collective. As the founder, artistic director and choreographer, Wang is aiming to develop 7MPR into a non-profit organization. By doing so, Wang hope to support NYC dance artists, disable artists and musicians in order to build a great artists’ community. The goal of 7MPR is to bring creative people together and support more talented artists in the city.

Kirsten Reynolds

Event Coordinator & House Manager


Kirsten Reynolds is a dancer, choreographer and arts administrator based in New York City. She currently performs professionally with Rachel Thorne Germond Performance Collage, Ninja Ballet, Salvatore LaRussa Dance Company and [insert dance  company title here] for which she is Assistant Artistic Director. As an arts administrator, Kirsten currently works with the service organization Dance/NYC as well as William sburg Petite Performers dance studio where she also teaches. Kirsten graduated from Texas Christian University with BFA degrees in Ballet and Modern Dance in 2017 and is excited to be working with 7 Midnights Physical Research as the Stage Manager and Coordinator.

May Bukowski

Illustrator & Graphic Designer


May Bukowski is an illustrator and fine artist currently studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. She has an Associates degree and is graduating with a BFA in illustration. She has a passion for illustrating the beauty of nature and animals. Much of her work emphasizes and explores how we as humans interact with and impact our natural world. She works with a variety of mediums including oil, watercolor, and digital formats.

Joan Liu
Stage Manager & House Manager 

Joan Liu was trained in multiple genres before starting her performing career with Taipei Royal Ballet. She later pursued academics accumulating a MS in biology from New York University and MA in Dance Education through the collaborated program between NYU and American Ballet Theatre. Her work, including a full evening length ballet, has been showcased in various historic venues including New York City Center, Dixon Place, Mark O’Donnell Theatre, Abrons Arts Center, Players Theatre, Frederick Loewe Theater…etc. In 2019, Liu launched Axons Dance Theatre to focus on the creative process and to encourage communication through the art of dance.

Sara Liebau

Event Narrator


Sarah Liebau is a queer dance artist based in New Jersey and New York. She earned her BFA in dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she studied with Jordan Lloyd, Ani Javian, and Jessie Young. While in school, she also performed in works by John Evans, Laurel Snyder, and Pam Tanowitz. In 2021, she was awarded the Turner Choreography Prize for excellence in choreography. Sarah primarily makes dance films, showing projects at Battery Dance Festival, Dance NOW, and 7MPR. More recently, she has worked with sculptor Amanda Horowitz to perform a site-specific collaborative work titled "Keys to the Roundhouse" at Rutgers University.

Emi Hana

Illustrator & Graphic Designer 2019-2021


Emi Hana is a New York City based illustrator. She graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She works in a variety of mediums including digital, oil/acrylic paint, and screen printing. Recently she has combined her visual work with her writing to create multimodal works. Her goal when creating is to be as open and true to herself as possible, to create genuine work that doesn’t feel forced. She uses her work as a way to understand the world within her and around her.
