7Midnights Physical Research
7Midnights Physical Research is dedicated to the exploration of 7 social issues: Class, Education, Ability, Sexuality, Race, Age, Gender. Seven performances will take place throughout the year, and each performance will cover two or more than three topics of these social issues through dance. Each choreographer's work will express one of the seven social issues (aligning with the theme of that performance).
The 7 topics of social issues are going to be depicted by the dance movements through our "Themed Dance Theater" program. Our 7 topics are inspired by the 7 deadly sins and are aimed at investigating the dark side of humans and how they are shaped by our society. Each choreographer's work must express one of the 7 social issues.
The flatter world unite people from different backgrounds nowadays. However, our society is still stratified by the superiority people generate from their career, original family or even the skin color. It does become easier for people to meet each other everywhere around the world, but the classification is still that boundary which prevents people with diverse backgrounds to become more involved with each other.
